In another celebration for local estate agents G Herbert Banks – following 125 years in business and 21 years of Richard Banks joining the team – employee Josh Phillips has been successful in the Central Association for Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) exams.

The two-day examinations, held annually in November, are renowned for their demanding practical, written and oral components. Josh, now a Fellow of the Central Association, shared his enthusiasm, saying: “Agricultural Valuers provide clients with professional advice and valuation expertise on a wide range of issues affecting the countryside. I now look forward to using my expertise and knowledge to benefit our existing and future clients.”

The CAAV examinations are a rigorous test of proficiency, covering a comprehensive syllabus. Conducted at seven centres across the country, the practical segments of the exams are set on farms, providing a real-world context for candidates to appraise and assess subjects while nationally set written papers and interviews with examiners as clients complete the evaluation process.

Richard Banks, Partner at G Herbert Banks, expressed his personal delight at Josh’s recent achievement: “We’re thrilled that Josh has passed his CAAV exams and is now a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
