G Herbert Banks become a Showstopper Sponsor

As a Sponsor of the Museum of Royal Worcester’s Showstopper Trail, we are excited to celebrate ‘The Porcelain’s’ heritage of innovation, skill and ambition, and share the stories of 25 of their most exceptional objects. Visitors will access the Showstopper Trail through a physical trail around the Museum. A QR code will reveal hidden archive and newly recorded video shorts giving a range of perspectives by experts, and linking to the Showstopper Gallery online. More here: www.museumofroyalworcester.org/showstopper.

The Museum of Royal Worcester is an independent charity without any regular public funding. It costs £568 EACH day to care for and share the delights of our collection. Visitor entry and the Museum shop cover half of our costs. The remainder we seek from the generosity of trusts and foundations, gifts in wills, individual donations and corporate support.

Funds raised by the Showstopper Trail will help the Museum care for and connect people with the world’s largest collection of Worcester porcelain, together with our unique design and factory archive, in the place where it was made.

Help us support the magnificent heritage – of local, regional and national importance – so that they are here today, and for future generations to visit, enjoy and understand.

The Showstopper Trail launch Reception was on 28 September 2022 and a galelry of all the Showstoppers is here.

Richard commented: “I really did enjoy the evening! Embarrassingly I had not been there (to the museum) before, and it really is a rather special asset for the city. It is in a lovely setting, and it is all so well presented. The evening was great with a good number of local businesses coming together to support the Showstopper exhibition. Like us, there were business that had never supported such an event before and we were all so pleased to have done so.”

The Chamberlain Factory Vase, which we sponsor, is detailed here.

“This vase proudly positions Chamberlain’s Worcester factory at the centre of the composition with the city and cathedral behind. A large sign proclaims their status as manufacturers for the Prince Regent. It was probaby made for their London Showroom.”
